Same as above. Go to a different shop , get a second opinion!

A few comments:
  1. The opinion of the shop you visited is as suspect as ninety-nine percent of the bilge that comes out of the mouths of most politicians and other con-artists
  2. Get a second opinion
  3. Putting new cylinder head on a block with 150,000 miles on it will cause zero issues unless the lower end is about to let go anyway.
  4. I did the TimeSert thing on my neighbor's Honda last year; the process is relatively straight forward but does take some patience; the end result should easily last for the rest of the life of the car.
