dash speedo lights
 

on my 97 audi a4 when i put the lights on the dash speedo petrol gauge lights go really dim, i know they should go a little dimmer so as not to dazzle but they are really hard to see even in the pitch black, on my old focus st there was a dimmer switch but i cant seem to find 1 any where.

Not sure about the 97 but on my 98.5 you turn one of the knobs sticking out of the gauge cluster. I can't remember which one it is right now. You just spin it to the left/right and it will dim/brighten the lights.
