Default De-Noising a B5 - Community Thread

Dudes,

I've been looking around the audiforuns but I couldn't find a "ultimate guide to de-noise your B5".

So, let's do it!

Some stuff I've done in mine.

1- Leather rubbing against center console: glued velcro's soft side on the console and seat belt button.

2- Center Console Squeaking - re-screwed the center console (it works for a time, then re-screwing is necessary)

Things I couldn't solve yet:

Door panel noises... I need new door panels
Steering Column squeaking - need to disassemble and lubricating... I'm afraid of the airbag lol
Passenger Seat creaking - there's some sort of plastic "dumper" on the seats trail, under the door. Mine is loose. I must figure how to disassemble the seat without blowing the airbags.

and you guys, what's yours tips and hints?

Vinyl fishtank tubing in the rubber rain gutters along the top of each door to cut a little wind noise down.

The airbag in the wheel isn't a big deal. Just unscrew the screws on the back of the wheel, pull out center section, and you'll see a wire leading from the airbag to the wheel. Reach over the wheel side and.... unplug it.

It's a 2 in 1 deal, people used dynamat all the time to reduce outside road noise. And when you do that, you gain keeping the music quality on the inside. My friend used it in his chevy s10 on airbags to keep the compressor noise and valve noise from aggravating him.
