Hey guys i have a 1998.5 2.8l quattro, I just purchased a new pair of depo 2 peice halo lights, I have fog lights on my car from the previous owner installed and I wanna turn my halos and fogs on without haveing the headlights on or the day time lights on with useing the factory switch

 

dont know how to turn the halos on with facory switch. the fogs will require vogcom.

 

well what depo did was they took out the fog from the orginal headlights and replaced it with the halo's or angel eyes w.e u wanna call it

 

Some people wire the halos with the sidemarkers.

My car operates as such. (1998) The fogs (which are inside the headlight housing, under the bright beam bulb) are wired to the fog switch on the center console. The halos come on when parking lights are normally switched on. (so one click on the headlight thing)

 

yeah mine come on with the foglight switch like your saying but i want it to come on with the foglight switch and the headlight switch off or on

 

i have no idea. just thowing out my wiring. Car came like that, and it looks pretty ghetto.

This might work with prefacelift... not sure though.

 

let me make myself clear. in order to run fog lights with/without headlights on, you will need vagcom. unless you want to wire it, which you said you didnt. therefore, you need vagcom.
