Did Some Work
So I wanted to paint the calipers and a buddy of mine convinced me to paint my rims from stock silver to a bronze. I really liked the look when we tested it so I went with it. Spent all of tonight working on it...broke the brush to the caliper paint so the rear calipers didn't get painted...but that will be done later today.

JK MAN! Haha. To each his own, I personally wouldn't do that but I can see how others might want to. It looks pretty slick so far, keep us updated. It's definitely a cool idea.
PS: lose the amber corners!

If the paint is not fully cured or clear coated with a hard urethane clear coat you might have trouble cleaning the brake dust out of the paint. I think a powder coat job might be more durable in the long run. 2 cents..
The color is just gonna have to be a matter of personal choice, I guess. If you like it, good. Having said that, the paint itself doesn't look very even. Unfortunately, with stuff like this you really only get one shot at getting it right...if you wait a few days and then respray the bronze, the last coat and the newest coats could react and discolor or just not adhere well. I've seen both happen.
Good luck.
Good luck.
i like seeing people do something different, my only objection is the paint wasnt sprayed even. you really need 3-5+ light coats on wheels. i used half a can of spray paint per wheel, and half a can of primer too. post some pictures in the daytime of the full car after you wash it and shine up those wheels. i bet it would look pretty good.
