Default Diverter valve install

In the diverter valve thread in the stickys they show the whole front bumper and everything off. Is that necessary or can it be accessed another way?

What engine do you have? I just replaced my DV with a 710N on my AEB the night before last. It was a real PITA, mainly just because the screw clamps that were on it were not easily accessible.

One of the DIYs I read was either for an ATW or AWM, and it seemed very simple for that person. I think I spent a good 3 hours on mine....

Yep. Hardest part is getting those f'ing one use clamps off. I used a thin flathead screwdriver to pry up on the end of the lip. Once I had somewhat of a lip, I used a pair of clamps that looked something like this (but not as big) to get under the newly made lip and pry the end piece over the locking nub.
. They came off fairly easy after that.
