Do the 1.8T and 2.8 have the same size tail pipes?
 

I want to install exhaust tips on my 2.8 b5 and I found a great deal on two exhaust tips on ebay. However, the listing said that it came off of a 1.8T, so I am wondering whether or not it will fit on my 2.8. Thanks:)

are they just those chrome things that slip over the plain exhaust tips? i would think they're close enough

pointless to do that how much do you wanna spend we can point you towards somthing nice my apr racing was $1200

Geez, no thank you. As it is, I still have to get the rear bumper repainted because the paint is chipping off from the previous owner. On top of that, my A/C is blowing warm, so that could be pretty costly to fix. Not looking to spend a mint nor modify the whole exhaust. I just want it for looks.

you could get some of those at AutoZone on the cheap too I'm sure

just get a magnaflow muffler 14815 or 14816, they come with chrome tips on them and are only like $180 :D

2.8 tips are larger. I know because I have installed 1.8t stainless factory tips that I got of a friends 1.8 and went to put them on mine and they didn't fit. I had to take them To a exhaust shop and have them widended a smidge.
