Default do B6 wheels fit on a B5?

i know this question has probly been beaten to death but i have a chance to buy a set of 17 inch B6 wheels. they look like S4 wheels but arent and they are 17. They come with 245/45 17 tires mounted on them.

will this wheel and tire fit on my car? i plan on lowering but dont want to run into any rubbiing issues.

Yes. I have mine lowered with no rubbing. Different center caps though FYI

yeah the B5 wheels have small center caps, about the diameter of the top of a pop (soda ) can. The wheels you're talking about have larger center caps that cover the lug nuts too. These are knock-off's but you get the idea:

I run 17" wheels from a B6 and they have 235/45-17 and I rub, but only on hard turns.

Yes the B5 15in center caps cover the lug nuts but how they attach to wheel are different than how the b6 17in center caps attach to the wheel.
