Default Does anyone have.....

Hi guys,

Here's my problem.....I have a 2000 a4 1.8t quattro thats in the shop to have the cam tensioner replaced, but in order to pull some cel codes my aftermarket double din clarion screen needs to be unhooked. I had the deck professionally installed and was wondering if anyone had a guide or instructions on how to remove a aftermarket deck. It's also iso mounted so I cant just take it out with keys, I need to know what pannels need to be removed to get at it.....

thanks, JC

autozone should.
1) take the 2 covers off the ebrake. there's a black thing you have to take off at the bottom of the soft part. the solid cover is clipped on in the rear so just pull up on it.
2) remove the rear ashtray and cup holder under the armrest
3) you'll see 3 green looking bolts under those two. there should be 3 total, remove them
4) move both front seats all the way back and you'll see 2 interior screw covers by the seam to the shifter. take them off and undo the bolt.
5) remove the knee bolster under the dash. most of the bolts are covered by the cover thingys again.
6) there's 2 more screw cover thingys that is part of the piece that goes around the radio. it's by the footwell. there's one on the passenger and driver's remove the bolt.
7) open your glovebox and undo the thing on the left side of it. it should swing to the ground after you undo it.
8) take everything you've taken off out of the car and you should be able to see what you need to do but it'll be really tight.
