DV adjustability
I bought a DV that has a regular spring, as well as a stiffer spring and a softer spring. What are the advantages to running the different springs? What is a firm spring good for and what is a soft spring good for?
they allow adjustability of how much pressure the valve dumps when it's engaged, a softer spring dumps more air, a firmer one dumps less.
I'm just guessing really about the purpose of it, however I would assume you use a stiffer spring for BT so that when the DV is engaged it vents less air to keep a charge in the intake pipe to prevent all pressure from being lost in the charge pipe so that the turbo dosen't have to spool-up and charge the system again. The same princaple being applied with smaller turbos and softer springs. the downside being if not enough air is vented then it causes the pressurized air to charge back and cause turbo-lag.
