Default DV / BOV question

my cousin has an 01 a4 1.8t ...

he got an hks ssqv BOV but he said that he needs to get something else for it cause theres no where to put the boost hose into... it has the vacuum line but no boost fitting he says he needs an adapter plate or something??

he said that he thinks the hks is meant to be a weld on valve (it comes with a weld on adapter i guess) and to run it to ours he will need a different adapter for a hose end to connect to
