ecu+fuel pump+fuel relay=headache :(

has anyone herd of going through 2 ecu's in less then a year, well i have and im confused.
back just before the end of july i ran into a problem, the fuel pump turned off in the middle of driving through town, after doing my own problem tracing i found it to be the fuel pump relay(i have an upgraded bosch unit). so moving forward i replaced the fuel pump relay and bang the car ran, at this time i was not tuned. 2 days later agian boom fuel pump shuts off this time a new relay didnt fix it, so i took it to a close by audi and vw performance shop, they did there work and said the ecu went bad, ok i had a spare, so revo stg 3 was added to the spare ecu and placed into my car. the car ran this was the end of july , now as of monday agian the car did the same thing, as i was going to work bam the fuel pump stopped working agian everything else in the car works except the fuel pump, could there be something wrong with the fuel pump, or can it be possible for 2 ecu's to go bad in a year, i really need some help with this one, the shop that first did the work told me there booked for 3 to 5 weeks and i can not wait that long, i found 2 other shops in the area but they do not work with revo software so i am at a complete loss, i really need some input.
