Turbo Replacement
#2
I'm pretty sure you could do it in a day or less. I was removing mine and ran into some problems. One of the bolts from my turbo to exhaust manifold broke off so I had to go to the store and buy some things to get it out. Make sure you use a lot of pb blaster or other spray and let it sit for a day before.
You need to drain coolant and oil, remove the stock airbox, remove 3 cat or exhaust bolts (on mine the cat is bolted to the turbo), remove 3 manifold bolts , remove oil supply/return, coolant lines. Also a bunch of hoses need to be removed or out of the way like the TIP and connecting hoses. It'd probably take 1-3 hours if you don't run into any trouble, then the same amount of time for install. I removed everything from the top of the engine bay and didn't have to get under the car. Well besides draining oil and coolant.
It seems really complicated, but it's pretty simple. It'll take me 3 days total, but I'm cleaning all the hoses and oil lines, taking breaks, and ordering parts.
Don't forget GASKETS!
Let me know if you need any help.

So, I already pulled everything out. I snapped 2 Bolts on the Turbo. I had to cut the Down pipe to Get Cat Out.
So, I am not interested in Hi-Performance Turbo on a Car that has 160K Miles. I will stick to the K03.
The Only question I have now, is where do I get a Reliable K03 Turbo for my Car. I never had good luck with EBAY.
Do you guys have a Reliable Source online with Decent price.
Also, Where do I get the Bolt Studs that go from Turbo to Cat. And Header to Turbo.
