Default Engine tick, and burnt rubber smell

I've searched for lifter tick but mine isn't as loud as what most of the descriptions seem to be. I only hear it loudly when I'm under hard full throttle acceleration. Any ideas?

Also, I know I have a very small oil leak, but lately I've been smelling what seems to be burning rubber only when the car is fully warmed up. I just did my timing/accessory belts so I'm hoping I didn't eff that up.

check if your oil level is where it should be, it might be the reason of the ticking. the smell is probably cuz your valve cover gasket is leaking. i had the same problem with that rubber smell :P

Yeah, I just replaced the passenger side gasket but I didn't think it fit too well. Kind of annoying. Couldn't replace the driver side one cause one of the bolts was already stripped out.
