It really all depends on personal preference but I have the factory Symphony I with an aftermarket amp/sub tapped off the rear speaker low level output and have my EQ set to 35555579. I have the rear channel low setting at 5 and adjust the level of the sub using the amp's built in volume adjustment and crossover. You just need to start somewhere. Put in a CD with nice vocals and strings and listen for any mid bass humps in their voice or not enough highs and adjust as needed. It's really about personal preference. Good luck.

Generally it goes from high, mid, and low. Basically treble, mid range, and bass. It depends on how you like to listen to your music. I have my treble and bass pretty high and keep the mid low.

Just to clarify for the original poster. When adjusting the hidden EQ on the Symphony radio, the 8 digits of the hidden EQ as as follows

position 1 front bass
position 2 front mid bass
position 3 front mid
position 4 front treble
position 5 rear bass
position 6 rear mid bass
position 7 rear mid
position 8 rear treble

If you are trying to match "Loudness" settings like a standard preset EQ, i used 76787678 for mine.
