Default First Snow of the Season!

Last night here in MA it snowed a little bit. No more than a few inches but it was my first time in the snow with an Audi and my new snow tires. I spent all night out with my buddy driving around on snowy streets and going to the industrial park to have some fun. Ran into a couple pick ups tooling around too so I boomed around with them for a bit. Then as we were leaving I went down a side street to find a soccer field. That was a BLAST. All in all my first experience with quattro is jaw dropping hahaha. I had the dopiest grin on my face the whole time. Now my least favorite season has become my favorite.

Anybody else have any snow fun last night? I'll post a couple pics of my car, she's pretty dirty from the field, I'm not sure how good the pictures will be.

Edit: Pictures!

Nothing special . Note the last picture, 4 cars in my driveway, none in the garage. How useless. Hahaha.

Its been snowing all weekend here in VA but unfortunately I've had to restrain myself from enjoying it. I've got two wheel bearings and a couple control arms on their way out at the moment, and doing figure 8's in a snowy parking lot wouldn't exactly help their plight lol.

Glad to hear you had fun though and the Quattro did its job.

Are you doing the work yourself? If so-let me know I will be in Leesburg next week and the following week visiting my 'rents. I could lend a hand. PM me your contact info if you are tackling it yourself.

Hey man thanks for the offer! Not going to be taking care of anything quite that soon though. I'm going to spend the better part of the winter collecting parts and then do all the work in the spring. Gonna need control arms and tie rod ends for the passenger's front, new rotors and pads on all four corners, both rear wheel bearings, plugs, wires, and a partridge in a pair tree.

My house has a oversize double garage near Pittsburgh (3 hour drive from you I do all the time). If you need a spot to wrench when its cold- its heated and I have air tools. Tryin' to find other Piuttsburgh guys around here....only know of one.

I didn't get any pictures of my fun, but we got a small skiff here of that really slippery type of snow (the stuff that almost feels like you're walking on a lot of graphite powder) and when I was driving it was about 4:30am so no one else was on the road so I took advantage of a nice, seven mile stretch of road to travel sideways here and there, lots of fun

Ahh that's awesome. I was hoping to find some long stretches of secluded safe places, but to no avail. I wish I had pictures of the soccer field. It was torn to shreds .

We had about 5 inches in my town over the weekend. Saw some guy in four wheel drive lose control on the freeway when his tire touched the snow covered median. He spun the car around and almost went into on coming traffic!
