forge 004 problem
to all the people that hate BOVs, save your bashing for some other time
I installed the BOV and plugged the hose like i am supposed to. afterwords, the car was running slightly rough between shifts (right after it vents to atmosphere) so I just figured that it will smooth out as the ECU "learns" how to correct itself.
well, after taking it for a 20 minute drive, im pulling up to my house and the car stalled as i was trying to pull into my drive way. i restarted it, pulled into the driveway, and the car stalled as i came to a stop. i checked and re-checked everything that i did and there are no leaks anywhere relating to the BOV install, but unfortunately i havent got around to installing my boost gauge yet so i cant say for sure that there isnt a leak somewhere else. any ideas anyone?

We've already established a conclusion for the BOV debate. No one is going to put their dukes up, relax
See if there are fault codes, and make sure the bpv vac line is attatched/intact.

the vac line is attached and seems to be okay, but it goes to a different place than the one in the pics of the thread that you linked. it goes toward the same area but actually goes under the intake manifold and connects to something under there. I'll check for codes now.
I bypassed mine too

It's not a solution to his problem though.
alright sorry it took so long. here they are:
VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N
Control Module Part Number: 4B0 906 018 P
Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0008
Software Coding: 07201
Work Shop Code: WSC 06335
4 Faults Found:
17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S1: Internal Resistance too High
P1113 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1114 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16795 - Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect Flow Detected
P0411 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17535 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Mult): System too Rich
P1127 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
the system too rich code is the only one that wasnt there before the BOV install. i know i need to fix the o2 sensors, but they arent related to this problem right?

Ya you're going rich off throttle for sure... If your 02 sensor is bad, that may cause your ecu to not adapt correctly for sudden lean/rich conditions. Lazy/non working 02 sensors= flakey A/F ratios. Use a BOV that can make you go rich off throttle and it makes things worse.
