fuel pump and control units
alright i have a 2000 a4 1.8 and i purchased 034 motorsports fuel pump it was installed december last year and up til now it ran fine, so hear is how it started going wrong, this i think has nothing to do with it but as follow:
1. i replaced the bov to synapse bov with the recirclation feature, but since i didn't have the hose to run and the intake pipe wasn't prepped i bought the anti-stall feature.
2. from there the car ran like crap, i thought maybe it might take a little while, without warning my throttle goes and the epc light comes on and agian i have no throttle, fast forward after checking we find out the fuel pump relay went bad si we replaced it, after that the car fine, we also went back to what i was using before because it worked.
now here is the problem 3 days later after fixing my fuel gauge the does it agian, it started twice idles fine no throttle, we checked some stuff and then reset the ecu, after we reset the ecu the car would not start, so referencing the first time, we thought the relay went bad agian, so i bought a new relay and we put it in and the car wont start, im totally stumped so im turning to you guys for help, while checking the relay's under the dash i did notice that one of the relay's is getting hot but i don't know what it control, relay number 370. now to the weird part my friend took apart the relay and was testing it and said everything was good so we plugged it in with the cover off to see if it is working but that one and even the new one don't seem to turn on the pump but if i close the connection by pressing the relay switched are the pump turns on, but the car wont turn over. please help
