$3.49/gal for 93 octane on base. Last time I filled up it was almost $1.00 cheaper.

I dont remember the last time in California had gas prices at around 2 dollars a gallon. Consider yourself lucky man!

Enjoy it while it lasts.

Wait till you see where we are in 10 to 20 years.

PS, I can't wait until we're off gasoline.

I can't believe the talk of selling your car to get slightly better mpg. I bought my A4 because it gets good mileage. It's all about perspective. My main ride is a Range Rover and I get 8-9 mpg city and about 12 mpg highway and that is on premium too. I love the mpg that my Audi gets. Would you really be happy driving a POS Civic just to save a couple bucks? Do the math, you will find that it's not worth it. Lets say you drive 15,000 miles a year (national average) In your 1.8 you should be getting around 24 mpg combined. In a Civic you would get 29 combined. Local price at the pump today was $3.49 regular and $3.69 Premium. So for the year in the Audi it would cost: 15,000/24x3.69= $2,306. The Civic will cost 15,000/29x3.49= $1,805 or a difference of $501. Are you willing to give up your Audi to drive a POS Civic to put $500 in your pocket in a year? You are talking about $40 a month to drive a great car. I drive for a living an put on 50,000+ miles a year and it still isn't worth it to me to give up comfort and luxury to drive a slightly more economical car. (of course that explains why I don't mind driving the Rover.)

You guys should quit whining and invest in oil companies right now and even the playing field, gold and oil are flying right now. Im making a hell of a lot more money in the market than im paying at the pump. GO LIBYIA!!!!

P.S. I just filled my sierra up with 87 octane and it was $88 and i still had a little less than a 1/4 in it when i filled it.
My work van has a 30 gallon tank of diesel, at $4.40 a gallon it takes $132 till fill that bad boy, and i burn thru that in a couple days.

according to http://www.hintsandthings.co.uk/garage/fuelconv.htm theres a difference between the US gallon and UK gallon so no point going there, will keep to litres for consistent figures.

"To add to the confusion UK and US gallons are different; there are approximately 4.55 litres in a UK gallon but only 3.79 in a US gallon."

.

ok so in litres you have it £1.33 a litre in gbp
converted to US dollar = $2.14 now tell me thats not ****
