Default Got vag codes pulled.. I need advice, im trippin..

ok so i went to get my car emissions tested in SoCal and it didnt even come close to passing..

P0441 - EVAP ctrl incorrect purge flow
P0011 - Manufacturer specific code
P0301 - Misfire deteced (cyl 1)
P0302 - Misfire detected (cyl 2)
P0173 - Fuel trim malfunction (bank 2)
P0300 - Random/Multiple misfire detected
P0303 - Misfire detected (cyldiner 3)
P0340 - Camshaft position sensor CKT malfunction

I need help guys, my car runs/accelerates fine outside of a tiny bit of a rough idle but its barely even noticeable.

What would cause these?? I'm thinkin new plugs for the misfires?? Whats up with my fuel trim malfunction?? and my incorrect purge flow??

Someone hook it up with some answers for a long time AF member..

thanks guys.

are those all recent codes? meaning they arent a year old just sitting stored in the ECU? the evap purge one is your secondary air injection not working. misfires probably wouldnt be plugs if 3/4 of the cylinders are doing it at the same time (unless your plugs are reallllly old), but its a cheap thing to replace to check out. camshaft sensor- could be a loose connection or you need a new one.

really i was under the impression secondary air and EVAP were two different systems. Oh wait. they are.

your plugs most likely are NOT the problem since you have multiple misfires.

its tough to say... i'd like to hook your car to the factory scan and run basic setting 71 which is a EVAP system self test, MVB 32 to check o2 response.

but the cheapest self fix... is just to replace your evap purge valve delete your faults. also the 2.8 has a long vent hose that goes from valve cover to valve cover which always breaks.... delete the faults and run it for awhile.

Bad cam shaft pos. sensor will give you misses on the respective bank (cly 1-3, or cyl 4-6) and probably also the other faults except for the evap which is really no big deal unless you have hardcore symptoms to go with it. You have 2 csps so you could swap them and see if the faults follow the csps.

I agree with Darkprodo.

EVAP code could be for a bad N80 valve (EVAP purge valve), but would not be caused by a secondary air injection issue. Listen for clicking near the airbox.

As for the misfires, again I agree with Darkprodo. You have a whole bank misfiring, so unless all three plugs are fudged (unlikely), look for a common issue. What's curious is the P0173, which is a fuel trim fault for bank 2, while your misfires are on bank 1... hm. Pull the covers and look for broken vacuum lines. There's little ones under the front cover for the intake flaps, if I recall correctly. Also, check the lines to the fuel pressure regulator. Erase all the codes and put the car though a few drive cyles to make sure the MIL stays off.

If the car has obvious misfires, fix them first. Erase the codes before you go any further. It will help you pinpoint which codes are actually an issue and which are irrelevant or old. I too am curious as to why you have codes for opposite banks. Off the top of my head the only think I can think of is perhaps a vacuum leak in combination with something like a bad FPR. Do you have O2 readings for each bank and MAF readings? Can you read your fuel trims for each bank?

No i cant read my fuel trims for each bank..

it sounds like if i just clean my cam shaft positioning sensor a lot of these problems will go away..

I can feel tiny misfires while im idleing but when i accelerate its smooth as can be
