Exclamation GREAT NEWS!!! and also some questions?

ok so i went to audi today and had them pull up my vin to check any warranty claims and yada yada... a few intriguing things came up... first of my car is and i quote "1996 audi a4 2.8 limousine" i asked 4 sales rep and dealer manager and nobody knew wtf that was... so does anyone know why it says limo?

2nd... i still have the original warranty book and service books and all that crap, anyways in the service manual it has my vin, model type and engine then color and interior codes... but in the part i circled... those are all the option codes that came with my car... i asked the dealer if they could pull it up, not even branch manager could find it... so my question for u guys, is there any way to find said codes anywhere online?... here is a pic of the codes

Limo is european for Sedan, just like it is Avant for Wagon. Remember you are driving a German car not an American car.

96 was the first year Audi offered the A4 in North America and only brought over the 2.8 that first year.

I am suprised you didn't know it was quattro, just giving it too much gas on a wet pavement in 1st gear would have told you right away if it was fwd or quattro.

Ok well now I'm confused... I went under the car and didn't see a driveshaft or rear diff... Yet the guy at audi said they only offered the quattro model... So this is annoying, even though it says at the front of the motor "this vehicle is equipped with a permanent awd system bla bla bla" so do I believe audi and the sign and just assume I'm blind and can't see the diff... Or is thediff that easy to spot and audi and the sign are wrong?

Oh and as far as the wet ground in first gear comment... I live in southern. California, theree is no wet ground ever haha

Audi offered both FWD and Quattro on the 2.8. If your car does not have the quattro badge on the trim above the glove box, on the trunk or on the front grill then it isn't Quattro. It sounds like you talked to a "salesman" at the dealer and most of those dont have a clue about the cars they sell.

What do you mean by "at the front of the engine"?

Sure there is, but not all that often. I guess you can run to the fires and find water on the ground

You can bring your car to Fontana this saturday and find water in the water box at the IDRC drag event or just come out to watch me try for low 10's.

BTW If you want to know if you are FWD or Quattro, just look at the rear axle. If it is straight across(straight bar) then you are FWD, if there is a angled axle at each wheel then you are Quattro. You can also tell if your exhaust goes straight forward from the rear muffler vs bending toward the center of the car.
