Hi,

I am planning to buy an Audi A4. I have a dilemma, I don't know what year I should buy. However, after doing research on the forum, I've narrowed it down to 99.5, 2000 and 2001.
I am leaning more towards 2001, since it has 170HP engine butI was wondering if itis really worth getting the 2001 for 20 more hp.

I am going to be working on the car at home and was wondering if thereare there lots of DIY for that year (2001)? And is it DIY friendly??

And also how is realiablility of the 2001 compared to 2000 and 99.5?

Please help me make up my mind.

unless your going BT it's not really gona matter. i would just get the 01. it's newer, has all the post-facelift features and such.

 

i say 2001 i think thats what i may try to get when im done with school

Get a 2000. Because I have one.[8D]

 

I also say 01.

 

If you have to ask, get the newest you can afford.

I owned a 99.5 and loved it! Motor was well built to. I liked that it was a drive by cable and not drive by wire like the newer ones. Made me feel more in-control of the car I guess... One of my friends has an 01 and it's also a nice car though. Get what you can afford though.
