Halp please
i have an audi a4 1997 1.8t it wont go on reverse it drives good it shifts gears good but it just wont go on reverse it kind of wants to when i put it on reverse there is no check engine light on or nothing i dont wanna change the transmission and then find out it wasnt that. is it the computer a censor or what please help thank you

Is it an automatic or manual transmission?
Assuming it's an automatic, start by checking the fluid level and the manual valve. If that doesn't work, you likely have a bad solenoid in the valve body, which will likely result in a trans replacement.
