Thats a good point i didn't even think of, I bet HID's would melt those ebay lights

^true that. I've heard the horror stories. The one or two peice facelifts look the best imo, but if the OP is looking for something aftermarket then I'd recommend the Sonars.

I have bought those exaclty but the only different is mine have 3 LED lights next to the eyebrow strip, above the High beam. Let me just say this......they are obviously not as good as the factory's, as far as beam pattern. Im a fanatic about light and hate when a bulb is even blown anywhere, im always checking my car for that. Having said that.....for a taiwan made aftermarket light and if your into the design, its alright, though I'm dissapointed with the halo itself, not as bright as projected in the images. I got mine for $140 shipped, did it as a trial really, not bad for a pair of headlights price wise. The construction quality was a hit and miss. The housing itself and fit and finish was good, did not need to sand or weld anything, just bolted right up and all the lines matched. But the set i got, the high beams and the regular beams were mixed up. I had to cut the wiring of the light and switch it so when I turned on my headlights, the regular beam came on, and not the high beams......

just a little insight....sorry for the the long reply...but you did ask!!!!

As for Mr.phil, I really like those projector, I just might get them, even thought my car is a 2000, they have some really good headlight.....thanks i bookmarked them on my browser....

lol glad i could help... at first i thought u were talking about the link i posted till u said halo and i was like ok whew haha... i plan on getting these lights... just curious though as to where the fog light would go since im pre-facelift.. oh well i might just buy some fog brackets for the bumper from a facelift model lol

aledelic42 Dec 23, 2009 01:12 AM

you should just get the one piece black depos if you like those. the two piece ones use ds2 bulbs which aren't the same as the h7 ones that will fit into stock headlights. the one piece headlights also use h7. they have a city light bulb in the same spot as where the fog light is in prefacelift lights

Mr. Phil Dec 23, 2009 01:22 AM

well im pre facelift so the one piece wont fit i thought? do u have a link to where u can find them?

kayakman13 Dec 23, 2009 04:04 AM

there's some fender grinding involved for a 2 to 1 conversion, but who doesn't like domestic assault?

As for the housing color, go chrome. please please please phil. It doesn't look good when people try to murder out a gloss black audi. Stick with classy euro style, chrome housings.

Mr. Phil Dec 23, 2009 04:14 AM

but i HATE chrome.... and also im getting the car painted nogaro blue next month so im not gonna "murder" anything lol
