Headlight Problem

so last night i put gas in my car, started it back up again and my headlights wouldnt turn on,my fogs wouldnt come on, and my high beams wouldnt stay on unless i hold the switch. i brought my car to a mechanic a little while ago and he said there was no power going to my fuses. any ideas on why this is happening ?

Agreed. I believe it's in the DIY section.

Very common. You need a new switch.

Combination Switch DIY

I did this last week; it'll probably take you 10 minutes to get to it, 5 to clean it, and less than 10 to reassemble if you're going at a moderate/first-time pace. The two most important things are disconnecting the battery, and marking the location of the (technical word here) piece of plastic just beneath the steering wheel which affects the orientation of the steering wheel when reassembled. Don't move it!

You can try cleaning up the switch or find a part out or buy new.

Keep in mind, depending on the level of meltdown of the contact slider, it may not be repairable.
