Default Headlights for 2000 b5?

What are the best headlights for a 2000 a4? Stock? Or what options are are there for the led strip lights. I had the black Helix ecodes, but aren't there two diff brands to get? I wanna get what's best. So my hid shines bright n perfect n I have a nice sturdy headlight.

If you want sturdy, stay from anything with LEDs in the headlights. Stick with stock or OEM. If you want really good light output, look into performing an HID projector retrofit... That's what I did, and with 35W ballasts my HIDs shine brighter than 95% of the cars on the road with a nice crisp cutoff.

I agree with MetalMan. Get yourself stock, then perform the HID mod. If you want to save some money, you could look at shokan.com. When I asked them for a nice stock headlamp housing for my 1999.5 B5, they had one that was in very good shape for $165. It's going to be about twice that per housing if you purchase new.

Default New headlights for Audi's are crap

I really hate the new idea of making headlights plastic. I've had Audis all my life and this is the very first time I see such crap being built. I understand that it's cheap etc etc but if you're going to make them disposable at the very least make the price disposable too!! Arg!

The third link I posted are Depo/Helix e-codes. They can sometimes be had on eBay for less than from ECSTuning if you get lucky and catch them on sale. I'm not personally a big fan of the LED versions, but thats just me.

Are those plug & play or does one need to purchase the harness as well? Thanks.

^ If you're facelift (meaning 1999.5 - 2001.5) those are plug and play. If you're pre-facelift there is some fender trimming and minor rewiring involved.
