I know that this has been discussed on here before but I couldn't put together the right terms to find the thread. Im looking for a headunit with the option to change its led coloring so it will match the rest of the dash lighting in my A4. I read a thread here where someone posted some links, it was either an alpine or pioneer that matched up perfectly.

There's a bunch of new headunits that can match perfectly. It just depends on what functionality you are looking for, and most importantly, your budget.

If you want a double din with Navigation:

Pioneer Avic-F series all have the option of red illumination. I saw some post on here a couple days ago whoring out those things like they're not problematic out of the box.

Kenwood's new double dins have that illumination option as well. Look them up yo!

If you're in the market for a single din... Get a Clarion 745mp. It's a few years old (so it's not the chinese-made crap that EVERY SINGLE CAR AUDIO COMPANY has stooped to)

 

As far as I know, most (maybe all) Alpines and Blaupunkts can change color to match. My Alpine CDE-9845 is set to red and it looks pretty sweet in the dark.

 

whatever you want dont get a sony! my old jvc matched my grand am's lights almost perfectly and there are the same color as my b5

 

I would really like an alpine, as I just got some new speakers that would compliment it nicely. I will have to check out a few models and find whats right for me, one that is ipod-compatible and moderately inexpensive.

i have the pioneer DEH-P5800MP in my and besides the blue display it matches the red really well.

only draw back is that this unit is no longer made but my still be able to find one on ebay

I have the JVC unit listed here:

and the color matches perfectly. I'd go to best buy or circuit city and play around with the HU's they have mounted on the wall in their Car Audio dept.

AVIC-F90BT has like 32,000 color options. I switch it a lot and sometimes put it in random so it changes every 5 secs, but when its set on red it looks **** with my red LED VDO boost gauge and my red LED Passport 9500iX at night

BTW: best navi/dvd/mp3/ipod/bluetooth unit out there, I love mine
