Default heated steering wheel??

ok so the otherday i was nosing around my fuse panel and i noticed a heated steering wheel. the fuse's spot had no fuse but there were contacts in there.. so does the b5 have a heated steering wheel? if so how does it work?

i read about it in the manual. it said heated steering wheel with a asterisk* by it meaning it is an option. you could try throwing a fuse into it but i highly doubt you actually have a heated steering wheel.

stop dreaming wake up it wont happen! lol. Definitely don't think they would put the hardware in w/o the fuse though.

You'll need a steering wheel, the wiring harness, possibly a new clock spring, and a fuse. If the car came without the option, there's no harness or heating element installed. It can, however, be retro-fitted.

Did it come as part of the cold weather package? If not, it should have. Does anyone know if there is a button for it or would it just come on automatically in cold weather or when you turn on the heater/seat warmers?

Winter package = heated seats, rubber floor mats, and ski pouch in the rear armrest I believe. We need a group buy for heated steering wheel retrofit haha
