Question heater core Q. have to save her!

THE QUESTION I HAVE, IS IT POSIBBLE TO LEAVE THE A/C ALONE TO CHANGE THE HEATER CORE? I KEEP READING YOU HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND AIR BAGS. I'VE DONE A BIT OF WORK ON MY CAR AND NEVER HAD TO, SO IS THE A/C THE SAME?

You don't touch the ac to change the heater core. When you disconnect the battery, it disconnects the airbags. Usually when doing form of electrical work on the car.

Maybe I should record it purge the a/c because the heater core is beside the a/c under the dash

I did a heater core a few years ago on a B5, the next summer I had a leak in the evaporator and lost my AC. So I think you're nuts for not replacing the evaporator while you have the dash out. It's not expensive...and you're already there.

someone should reinvent the heater box on the a4 that would come out in pieces, easily serviceable !
