alright I have bought myself a A4 B5 Ive had it for about 3 month for 1500

Its had a lot of problem like
ignition switch didn't work
heat didn't work
hvac controls work ever now and then
driver window motor dosent work
driver seat forward and back motors don't work
sun roof dosent work
and the interior lights do not work when the doors are open

Ive fixed a lot of the problem but I cant figure out why the interior light dont work, any suggestions??
also where could I get projection head lights?

Pop the sunroof motor assembly out and clean the contacts.

If you don't have projectors, can I assume you have the two-piece headlights? Cheapest way to get projectors would probably be to check the classifieds for a part-out of a B5 with the one-piece assemblies.

Posting the year of your car might be somewhat helpful.

and the lights work with the door is open? check your fuse's (could help a lot of things) more info about the car an when things happen would be great for us

all my vehicles but unfortunately I sold the E30


ill post more latter, its been raining all day..

and the motor to the sunroof works but its off the cable that pulls it
and its a 1996

and the inside lights dont come on at all when the doors open. no fuses are blown

Might sound dumb, but did you check the "On, Door, Off" switch for the interior lights?

You may not have projectors, but buck up--you have the Euro-Spec trunk lid!

 

Wow nice car man, love those wheels!! Tell us what you have tried on the lights. Check the bulb, fuses, could be a wiring issue guessing you have check the switch them on and off. Can you push the button to turn it on? or is there no light no matter what?
