Help coolant issues

So i drove to work fine but on my way back i get on the highway and all of a sudden i notice my oil temp is way up and my coolant light is probably about to go off.... which it did. After stopping at a rest stop to check things out I found i had less than the minimum level of coolant so i figured id top it off with water just so i could make it home (don't flame me for this). Anyway that didn't work and i had to stop 4 more times yet I am not leaking any coolant that i can see. Any ideas???

I had a similar problem. There was a pin sized hole in the radiator, which leaked coolant. The coolant would leak and evaporate almost immediately.
I only noticed the leak in the radiator once the hole got big enough, and I started seeing a pink crust of dried up coolant on the side of the radiator.

Right now, you probably just have a bubble of air trapped in your coolant system that needs to get itself worked out. You could be looking at a simple fix like a 99 cent o-ring, up to a t-stat, water pump, radiator, hoses, coolant reservoir, etc.. You won't know for sure until you get in there and have a close look at everything.

Thanks for the imput. Ok so i filled up my coolant and checked my oil (which was about a quart low) and i took her out for a 10 min drive and i'm still having the same problem. One thing i noticed was that it was almost like coolant was getting backed up in the reservoir and keeps bubbling in. Water pump? I'll post a picture.
