I'm having trouble understanding what all these protocols are for the OBD2 scanners. Could you please tell me which one is compatible with a 1997 audi a4? I don't want to buy anything more advanced than I need, so I'm pretty much looking for the dirt cheapest one I can get away with to work on my car. Thanks. (all I need is the scanner, I already have a code list from ebahn)
