Help Please!!!!
hi everyone I have a 2001 a4 1.8t quattro and I have two problems. one is that I have no ac I checked free on and good I also got new water pump done this year...... don't know!!! my second issue is that I put rims on that fit the car but I noticed a clicking sound while I drive and has gotten worse ... my caliper that brake is attached to is the only thing keeping it from moving is that right? cause I can pull caliper back and the only thing that stops it from coming off is the brake ... it's like this on both sides please help with input I'm selling car this Sunday for other Audi and need these to work!! thanks Ryan
Do u get the clicking noises while turning left or right or going straight? If its turning its most likely ur cv joints, cuz mine are doing the same thing... As far as ac goes maybe yourcompressor is bad, also check the relays....

As for the air conditioning, the water pump has nothing to do with it. These cars do not take Freon (not "free on), they use R-134a refridgerant. Freon was a brand of R-12 and appliance refrigerant. If the can says "Freon," It's probably the wrong stuff. How did you actually check the refridgerant? Do you have gauges or did you just try a can of it?
wow all taht was pretty much pointless he was offering you help and correcting a few things so it would make since. but apparently you are to good for all this with your amazing new audi. No point in bragging about something you dont have because u may not even sell that car if you dont get those things fixed. and if you dont like people offering help dont sign up for forums like these.
The guy was trying to help you, there's no need to act like that. Go get your new car Monday, I'm sure none of us care. By the way, Monday is Memorial Day here in the US. If you live in the US, good luck finding many car dealerships open. Anyway, you must realize that any car you get is going to have problems. If that were not the case, you wouldn't see many people buying new cars at the rate that they do. Whether that car be a Ford, Buick, Audi, or Lamborghini it will need maintenance. Failure to maintain a car results in problems. Judging by your seemingly limited mechanical knowledge (the "free on" just made me laugh), I would say that you did not maintain the car properly. As I've said, any car will have problems if you don't maintain it and there's no way out of it. Audi's are very reliable cars when properly cared for, but if you fail to take care of them they'll give you a repair bill larger than the country's debt. A Honda or Toyota is no different.
i will take anyone in this **** hole on the strip , **** audi
I bet he's getting his buddy's sweet *** CRX! It has a wicked body kit (still needs to be painted, though), with sick *** ground effect lighting, a monster wing on the back, and awesome 14 inch spinner hubcaps! Of course, don't forget all the "sponser" sticker on the fender for all the cool performance parts he wants to get!
Damn, what a tool!
