i would replace the coil packs too. i had this problem in my truck a few months ago (lightning, i know, not an audi) and it fixed the problem....of course i dont know how much coil packs for a4s run though...

yeah i was thinking that, about $60 bucks or so from advanced for lower cost higher quality BWD brand. that with the coil $300+. i can do the labor easily. probably gonna check the injectors and maybe along with that compression. It is colder than a withes tata in a brass bra, here in good ol New England. how is that lightning (rear wheel only, right?).

thanx

If the misfire didn't follow the coil, its not the coil thats messed up. Don't put the money into that. Get a compression test done. Othen than that, I don't have any ideas.

Default yahoo! she is purrin good...

ok thanx guys for ur help... It def was the ICM... I did a search and no one had anything... found one just sitting on the firewall of an A4 and also found a HUCO in a passat on a hill. 12' drop to a street. leaned against a pole my brother had to squeeze his hand in to release the hood on a passat and there was AEB and a virtually brand new HUCO. plus a crappy set of coils, all for $50. plugged it in after a new set of plugs and some high quality octane boost. she rides like a dream.

there is the drivers side bearing that wiggles a bit. it should hold for a while. full synthetic oil change. i need to do the damn timing belt and water kit... 107,000... it just snowed a good 4 - 5" tonight and she drove prime.

chiao...
