High milage 2.8 , issues?

Hi guys. I joined here a while back thinking of buying an A4 for my DD, and recently found one that is in very nice shape at a reasonable price, but it has ~177k miles on it. It is a 2.8 5-speed. Just wondering if there are any major issues I should be concerned about, or things to watch for with an A4 with this mileage? Thanks guys

Make sure it has had all of the preventative maintenance done... at that mileage, especially a second TB job, suspension issues (though they may have been taken care of already), clutch & components...I would also worry about any original sensors going bad soon Honestly, I would try to hold out for one with lower mileage unless there are a ton of service records proving the maintenance has been done - if not assume that none has. What year is it?

I have a 99 2.8 w/ 178,000...... What I've done in the last year: Control arms, tie rod ends, several wheel bearings, front axel...That was all one job and cost about $1,900...original ECT Sensor went bad which caused ignition issues. Changed it myself and it fixed the problem immediately. Clutch isn't as fresh as it should be in first and second gear, possibly bushing issue, but it drives very well if you know what you're doing. Suspension is practically shot, but it doesn't bother me too much so I'm going to stick with it. ABS module fried so we removed it to avoid purchasing new one. Airbag light is on but just needs to be reset.

I wish I had a garage to work on it myself, but all in all it has been very reliable lately.
