High Reving between Gear Changes
Hi, i have an A41.8T Sport 2001 and when i drive it hard the revs stay high between gear changes, does anyone know what the problem may be?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks Chris

manual? What do you mean stay high? The A4 doesn't exactly shift quickly. The tach is a bit slow to come down in general so during spirited driving you will see that the tach often just sits there between shifts and doesn't move until you are re-engaging the clutch. This would be normal if this is what you are talking about so you need to be more specific if its not. Way to get a more responsive tach is a light weight fly wheel (LWFW) when you replace the clutch.

hi mate
I had a quick look at your post, it maybe your throttle body, or the MAF I can't remember what the mechanic thought it might be, but I noticed my car tends to have the revs linger between gear changes.
