How do I use the tiptronic?
 

I was discussing with a friend about my '99 Audi A4 2.8Q, and he told me about using the tiptronic in my Audi because I always have it on Drive. Any help on how to use this tiptronic would be appreciated! I'd like to be drivin this Audi to its fullest potential:)

Does he know that the car feature a wonderful function like REVERSE and PARK also? They work good!

Plus goes up a gear, minus goes down a gear shift earlier for better gas shift later when you are accelerating fast.......

I meant when you are on a highway or something, perhaps speeding or racing. When should u be putting it up the next gear and then to the next gear after that, and is it limited to just 1 to 5? And when you want to slow down, do u just shift down a gear lower and lower without hitting the brakes, cuz i thot that would mess up your transmission.

GO OUT AND PLAY WITH IT!!!! The tranny is set up so you can't blow anything up. If you don't shift before redline it shifts for you even if you in tip mode. As for when to shift. Wait till redline on hard accels and driving normally shift around 2-3K.

you should shift it as if you had a manual trans, because we all know the tip is just Audi's way of giving you Auto guys a little satisfaction;);)
