how to remove quattro, rear driveshaft at rear diff.
not sure why, removed the bolts did a little hammering still not movement, letting the penetrate to eat the rust overnight, any ideas? front at tranny came out nice and easy.

You pop the center carrier off also? Should just be able to persuade it with a metal hammer.

yeah driveshaft support is removed also, thats the reason why im doing this. replace that worn out original one. |
Don't whack it with a metal hammer, you can damage the joint. It just takes some time to walk it off using a deadblow. It's a large joint, and often gets stuck.

Laying under car put one hand on drive shaft and one hand on diff snout. Shake vigorously should separate. Metal hammer no dead blow or rubber malet yes.
I know mine hit me in the face when I popped it out last time. |
successfully removed it, just let the wd 40 rust penatrint to work, was just stuck and sezsed replaced the driveshaft support fixed that vibration when under a load, just wondering if theres a proper way to align the driveshaft i still have a little vibration in first, when doing 4g launchs
