I guess im running too rich??
So my check engine light came on today and went to get the codes read:
Rich air/fuel ratio Air lead near rear h02 faulty fuel control Please help on whats going wrong and what I need to do to fix this? THANKS! |
Most likely a bad 02 sensor or bad maf. You need to get the actual code numbers.
|
Code: p0422
|
16806
P0422 Main Catalyst,Bank1 Below Threshold That means you have a bad cat converter mate. It happens. You can still check your fuel trims on data block 32 via the vag com, but if thats your only code its probably just a bad cat caused from previous misfires. I would check your misfire counter (data block 16) and see if there are a lot of them. However having a plugged cat can cause misfires..... Nice wheels by the way. |
Thanks for all the help! I appreciate it. So would you suggest on getting an oem cat, or strait pipe it instead?
|
You can also get an HFC (high flow cat) which is much cheaper than the dealers $600 price tag, and you won't have to deal with the check engine light.
|
i got mine from ebay...high flow cat.... $150
