Attempting a DIY Timing belt job... Hopefully I'll finish it tonight... Getting bored with the Yellow 2.8 Sedan

 

Rock on man - nothing better than DIYin an otherwise costly job. I know what you mean by missing your avant... I hate driving my wifes car when mine is on jackstands...

 

I wish i could have my avant back.

She was one in a million, i sure miss her. Nothing wrong with sedans, but my wagon was the ultimate snowboarding rig.

 

I havent driven mine since december 11th... I get my license back on june 11th, and the t3/t4 project should be done right around that time. she just came off blocks, and is currently siiting super low on H&R coilovers in the rear, but stock in the front... stock wheels up front and the R7's in back.

 

I couldn't help notice the yellow 2.8 has the same front bumper problem as mine. I'm constantly popping the damn thing back only it's clip, but it always wiggles off again. Does anyone have any ideas? the previous owner said she ripped off the lipskirt (and it shows!) one day, and i'm wondering if this may have also popped out a bolt or something which is designed to assist the plastic bumper clip? (because it doesn't seem substantial enough to do the job by itself, I thought it muct be help on by atleast one bolt or screw...)

any help? it looks so lame to have my front bumper half-falling off all the time
