Default Ideas for a lowering kit for me?

Hey guys, I love my A4 but it really would look better if it was lowered! Could you tell me which kit is the best value and how i should set it up?

springs will be the cheapest. sport give you a bit of low, while leaving the ride reasonable comfortable. race give you more low but a harsh ride probably have to upgrade shocks and sways.

coilovers are next on the list. they really run the range from reasonable to outrageous. remember you get what you pay for. search for a thread "cost no longer an issue for low"

air? pricey. weird. it either is or it isn't for you

all depends on budget! currently lookin for the same thing. Any thoughts of buying used springs or coils?

If i got sport springs would i be fine with the stock shocks and stuff? How much is a decent coilover kit?

I'm running neuspeed race springs on the stock sport shocks right now. The ride isn't terrible but would definitely benefit from some Bilstein sport shocks. Coilovers run from $300-$3000, all depends on your budget.

Sport shocks with lowering springs will last longer than non sport shocks

How much low are you planning to achieve?

I just want it too look good with 18's, 30mm sounds right? CCA4 the shocks your running are on the pic in your signature?

You'll need 4-5 inches drop to look good with 18's.

30mm is the size of spacers you should run, not how much you should lower.

4-5 inches seems a bit too much doesnt it? I dont want the wheels to hide into the fenders lol or atleast not yet... I just want to lower it so it looks nice without all that extra space it has. Are the coilovers on ebay better then getting springs of equal value? Or does the adjustment part become a pain in the ***

I wouldn't recommend eBay coilovers. Most of those are for fwd cars anyways(not sure what you have). Also components are going to be cheaper and wear faster.

Also are you sport or non sport now(you never mentioned that either). Aftermarket sport won't change much you'll want race. But if your non sport you will have to get new shocks when you go race, tires probably won't tuck but will look very good. If your non sport you could go sport and it will look better. Also are you a sedan or avant?
