Default Im just looking for the nastiest growl.

you guys are proabably so sick and tired of which exhuast sounds the best. i've searched no one has answered my question there. im just looking for that nasty sport car growl, real low and deep, but still loud. i looked up videos on youtube but they are all b6/b7, im looking into the 2.5 techtonics and i think im going to run a test pipe. let me know if your running this or heard it or can direct me to a sound clip.

For real? A cut out will sound ricey and not get you any noticeable gains, especially with a k03. A turbo requires back pressure to operate efficiently which is why you don't see people using larger than 2.75" piping or cut outs with a k03 setup. You can never go wrong with Borla, but you'll spend a lot less with a custom magnaflow setup and accomplish basicaly the same thing. It would be a little louder than Borla too.

im trying to stay away from custom. theres muffler shops around here but none of them are very reputable in making custom exhausts, my friend has a jetta he got one of the better shops to make a system for him, i don't like the way that it sounds. anyone know anything about the techtonics. its like 50 bucks cheaper and the mid muffler is different then the borla maybe a little louder.

Techtonics Borla setup is nothing like AWE's. Not even the same muffler. It sounds very raspy and ricey. AWE's Borla kit with the dp used to be $600ish. There is nothing wrong with custom as long as you get the right muffler and it doesn't leak. It's just a straight pipe with a couple bends and welds. It's not rocket science. There are plenty of people with a magnaflow muffler and custom piping (mid muffler/resonator optional) and it sounds good.
