Default Interior LED's

Hey guys

I have a 99 A4 (pre-facelift) and I want to convert every bulb in my car to LED's. What bulbs do I need for all the applications

Trunk lights x2
Rear Dome x2
Front Dome x1
Front Map x2
Vanity Mirror x4

What types of bulbs go in these places?

Also, if anyone is willing to trade 4 white reflector bulb housings for 4 red ones, I can pay pay for shipping both ways. They are the reflectors that are beneath the doors that turn on when the door opens. They just pop out and unplug. OR if any of you are parting out an A4 then I'll buy them from you.

Do you want bulbs or LEDs? There's no such thing as an LED bulb.

If you want bulbs check out Sylvania's website, they have a list of every bulb type your vehicle has inside and out.

If you want LEDs, there are plenty of companies that sell them, although I don't think they are vehicle specific.

I was going to do the same mod (replace all my interior bulbs with red ones) but I have other mods that took precedence. Let us know what you decide to do, where you get your bulbs, and most importantly post some pics!

Good luck!

No idea, I've never actually dealt with LEDs, but I was thinking about using them under the dash and under the seats of my car. I know they're quite a bit more expensive than bulbs so I would use them sparingly.

I know LEDs are brighter, more efficient, and last longer, but I don't think that justifies the cost and modification required. Unless you really want your interior to be brighter I would just use colored bulbs instead (assuming you're doing it to change the color).

I'm just telling you what I think, personally I've never seen a car with an all LED interior, so maybe I'm wrong. If you do go with LEDs post some before and after pics and you may convince me otherwise.

this could be done but why would you want to? I believe the LCD screen would stay red and that would throw it all off. Besides red is so pimpin'

Anyone here use red interior lighting in their cars?

Here's a thread to answer your question about changing the color of the cluster lights, etc. https://www.audiforums.com/forum/sho...changing+color
