Default ipod hook up

i have a 2001 b5 with the Bose symphony radio and don't have the cd player in the trunk and i was wondering how they hook up to the back of the radio if it was like RCAs or something else so i could just put a set of RCAs and hook my ipod up to it

there's a harness right by the spot where the cd changer goes. it's a round coaxial cable. you don't need to touch the back of the HU. also some ipod hookups use the same cable but just get a tape deck but quality isn't great. i'd ditch the cd changer and just get an ipod connection that connects to the cd changer harness.

hey i dunno how much youre looking to spend.. but i got the peripheral system from crutchfield (you can prolly find it elsewhere maybe for cheaper) but you take out your headunit real quick, plug this box into where your CD changer would plug into on the back of the headunit, and run the cable which your iPod plugs into, into the glovebox to hide it away.. no wires showing anywhere and you control your music thru your stereo.. and its the best sound quality available since its a direct connection.. ran me around 160 bucks..
