What options r there for fixing dead pixels. I cant really read much of it. I can just see my low washer fluid symble a little bit and sometimes kinda see what gear it's in

there's write-ups on the site for self-repairs (I'd only suggest this if you have moderate skills in electronics/soldering though) or you can send it into module masters (google them) and I think its like 160+ shipping and they'll repair your screen. turn around is a few days with them though, so you'll either be without your audi or you could get a junkyard cluster that will work with your car and ride around with that for a few days. your mileage won't change over (its stored on each individual cluster), but as long as you don't make any cross country trips, i don't think it'll kill you to be off by a hundred or so

Ok thanks!

why is the mileage stored in the cluster? i should just buy a new cluster, make it say 40k and sell my car for 10,000....

Miles
It's on your title how many miles u bought ur car with. If u sold it with less or found out u lied you'd be looking at some serious jail time. Then your car would be registered as tmu- true mileage unknown and car worth much less

Lol ^

A new cluster from the dealer is like $1000 and they have to be the ones to install it and put in the mileage. And if you're really that scared of someone noticing 100 miles off the odometer, then get a rental car until you get your cluster back. I didn't say the second cluster would stay in there permanently, or that it was your only option. Just tryin to give you more options

My pixels were all burnt out too.
I bought a vdo gauge for the steering column blocking the dead screen problem solved |
Lol no ones gonna notice 100 or a 1000 miles
