Default LCD Display Help.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-...ht_2783wt_1350

I need to know if anyone has tried this guys manual and if it has worked. I dont want to purchase something that doesnt work.

If anyone has a guide they made pm me with the link or whatever you have. Any other info on fixing the 2001 Audi A4 LCD display (The middle display in specific) would be great.

Dont buy it, you can get it for free...Ill attatch it here. I did in on a b5 (mine was so bad that you couldnt read anything) and it improved significantly however it did not fix completely. In the document the guy sticks electrical tape onto the metal frame(youll know what im talking about once you read it) but i would suggest that you use something thicker like double sided tape, just dont remove the backing on the side that touches the screen.

Edit: wont let me attatch, ill just host it somewhere.

Think this will work for the right LCD which displays trip and mileage? Mine didn't fade out or anything just poof it was completely gone one day.

Slim chance, i think you need a new LCD. If it decreased gradually then you might have been able to fix it. I would still try though.

Damn I've done a little more research on my problem and everyone says if I get a new lcd it could screw everything up.... im wondering it it can be programmed with a VAG. Yeah it would be cool to have a clock that says zero but thats odometer fraud brotha. Anyone finds anything out about my problem i'm all ears. I havn't been able to check my gas mileage for weeks
