STOP YELLING AT US!

Technically your not supposed to BUT I was running one in Cali for 4 months when I was there and never had any problems with it. Also now I am in Washington state where you need a front license plate and I have never had any problems.

In California it would be illegal as you are required to run a front plate. Also it is against the law in any state to run a plate that,

1) Does not match your state issued plate (vanity plates)

2) Is not a state issued plate.

Many people have done it and gotten away with it for a long time, including myself. (I did not run a front plate when I lived in California and never got hassled, but that is different than running a plate that was not issued by the state.)

So just keep in mind that if you do decide to run a euro plate, you may get pulled over for it.

It's not "Legal" anywhere in the usa as it is not a us plate, it's a euro plate. But lots of places you can get away with it.

OMG, another friggen euro plate thread? C'mon. Use some common sense. What state do you know uses euro plates?? None? Exactly. It's for looks. Use it at your own risk. When you get pulled over for it, don't post here and complain about getting busted for it.

Cool

My advice, buy it and hang it on the wall in your garage as a nice souvenir. That is where my legitimate German "Zoll" plate lives from when I imported the M3 to the 'States back in 1997. No need to draw any unwanted attention from the police. California seems to be one of those places with less tolerance of deviation from the law regarding front plates. IMO it is not worth the risk and hassle.

BTW, I run Euro plates on two of my cars...though they ARE in Europe

I run a europlate, I've had cops stare at me from across intersections without any problems at all, as a matter of fact, one gave me a thumbs up. I've parked all day in the city and haven't gotten a ticket for it. Nothing but positive attention so far...
