Default Level 10 Torque converter

If I bought a level 10 torque converter and installed it in my triptronic transmission would it help me hold more torque or anything. I don't know what a torque converter really does? This is whats in the discreption: PTS Billet Torque Converter, Bulletproof Lockup Clutch, Bulletproof Internal Parts, and Designed for Performance and Drivability. I don't really know what you would get to make a triptronic transmission stronger?

i havent heard of the torque converters from level 10 but i know there tip trans are supposed to be able to handle alot power...replacing a strong torque with the stock tranny might do more damage then good...kind of curiuos on the subject

Level 10 transmission upgrade(torque converter)is if you desire to beat the crap out of the tip. They are good. Its the way to go if you go SC. But it does not beat the fact that you have to have a manual to maximise your transmission power/shifting speeds.

Its a recommneded upgrade if you drop 3-5k for a SC plus 800-1000$ for the Torque converter on any automatic vehicle.

agreed. if your planning on S/C your car, then it is a good buy for using your tip.

So if I went with a big turbo with over 300 ft lbs of torque it wouldn't work? Why is it just good for a supercharger? Is there anything level 10 sells besides the $4,000 animal transmission that will help me hold the power?

Level 10 is an excellent company.
There are no negative effects of a torque converter, except if you select too high of a lockup for youre power level, hence why everyone says they do good with FI. Personally, I dislike SC for many reasons, and this will work great with turbo. It will not hurt your trans, actualy will allow it to efficently cool easier. You can shave 1 half second off your 1/4 mile ET in most cases. A damn good upgrade.

i wrongly assumed that you had a V6. But yes it does very good with a BT setup. But dont expect times at the 1/4 mile as you were manual. I know someone who did a LVL 10 upgrade + SC(not audi). He is very pleased with the result.
