lifting the a4

I'm a snowboarder at heart and the a4 goes through alot but still pretty low i was wondering if anyone now or has lifted there a4 and made it look decent? I'm not looking for a redicous lift maybe an inch or two ?

I've heard you can go with a6 springs and struts, but I haven't seen it first hand.

wow, I'm a skiier and not by any means in deep snow that often with my Audi, but I've heard that no one has had a problem with a stock ride height Audi and getting stuck in snow.

What springs are you on currently??

I think a lift would make the a4 look like sh!t IMO

If you got bigger tires a mild lift like your describing shouldn't look too bad. I was thinking of doing that too because the bottom of my Audi scrapes on so much shit around where I live it ain't funny. It'll scrape if a speed hump is a little too high, it's ridiculous.

Seems pointless IMO. 2" of lift is alot more than it sounds I would think it would be pretty hard to not have it look ridiculous.

its not pointless at all.... run a basic rally setup...

Do this, get tein's rally suspension... i think its like 1500, call them and tell them you want the true rally setup. You can run 18's and it will look like a stock ride height. The rally setup has stiff ass springs too, so you can fly over speed bumps and small children and the like.

...OR....

you could not drive through deep snow :)
Collapsable shovel.... 20$ @ the Home Depot

A perfect excuse to get coil overs!

McGovs2.7TB5 Sep 17, 2008 11:48 AM

The only storm where my A4 had to stay parked was 3+ feet and it was buried up the side views. If i spend $1500 on a suspension that mf-er better be dragging its ass. to the op, where do you live? Are you gonna spend a bunch of time and money to have a lifted a4 and only go riding once a year? Shit you could probably take the $1500 you were about to spend on a rally suspension and buy an old 4runner. Tune that bitch up and go ridin with out ever worrying about scraping.

^^^ true dat. Late 80's 4-runners are the sh!t!!! The body will give out a lot quicker than the drivetrain ever will.

And I have gotten stuck in snow a few times due to snow packing under my car and putting it up on a pedestal. But I doubt the lift will solve your problems. You'll most likely tip over.

from 1-10 i rate the lift idea a 2
