Default little bit of snow last night...

got up this morning to get ready for high school...look outside my window and see a foot of new snow. i didnt even think about doing this but i turned on the tv and saw that my school was closed for today. then my mom wakes up and tells me to move my car so i do and didnt think about taking a picture at the time but after i moved it i did and this is how she looks right now

Damn upstate... does it ever stop snowing up there? Back in 2007 (when I was still stationed upstate with 10th Mountain) we went to Louisana for some training in April. It snowed. A guy who grew up an hour away said he's never seen it snow in April. Later that year, we deployed to Iraq, and it snowed there, IN IRAQ! It was the first timein 50 something year! 10th Mountain, we bring the weather with us.

The kicker, several of my buddies and I all got stationed in Kansas this past summer. Kansas just had the worst winter for snow in a really long time... we might not be 10th Mountain anymore, but we still bring the weather with us!

A foot eh? If we got that here it wouldnt be a snow day, just a Thursday. We had almost 30" back in October and I still had work. Been like 4 years since we had a snow day.

Head down to Ft. Bragg, NC and they close post for a week on the threat of snow... It doesn't even have to actually snow!
